There are AH.MAZ.ING Christmas Prinatables out there. I have Pin'd tons of them. But this year I was searching for something other then the typical 'Merry Christmas' or 'Believe' signs (although I do have those up too!). This year I wanted something centered around Christ. In my search I found 25 beautiful free printables that focus on just that.
Here is the banner I settled on from The Girl Creative. One of my goals next year is to learn how to make such awesome printables as Diana does!
There is a shelf above my mantle that the banner hangs from. I painted the backside of a wooden sign that normally reads "Excuse the MESS but the children are MAKING MEMORIES" that I hand painted. You can see it here. I took a piece of chalk and outlined the individual little buntings, only a little bit bigger just to add some interest. I'll be showing off the full mantle later this week but you can see the red ribbon that my Icy Wreath hangs from. Look closely and you can see the Paper Whites growing and some Mercury Glass Mason Jars that light up too!
As always, please leave a quick note with these talented ladies and say "Thank you!" for any free printable that you enjoy. And please pin their image right from their pages! Oh, and most of these printables come in different color options and sometimes with coordinating prints!
I also wanted to take this opportunity to share a petition my SuperHubbie and I created regarding keeping the word Christmas in the Christmas Trees that adorn The White House and not be referred to as 'Holiday Trees.' It might seem silly to some but for me, preserving the freedom to celebrate and worship in this country was God given. And therefor must be protected. And not just for Christians, but for all.
We want the White House to stop referencing all Christmas Trees as 'Holiday Trees'. Christmas Trees decorated for the Christmas Season represent the Christmas Holiday and no other. Referring to them as 'Holiday Trees' takes away the Christian symbol that it represents. Just as the Jewish Menorah or Kwanzaa Kinara should not be referred to as a 'Holiday Candelabra'. Or the Dreidel adorned in Hebrew called a 'Holiday Top'. KEEP THE CHRISTMAS IN CHRISTMAS TREES!
