My March Wrap-Up!

It's that time again!  A Monthly Wrap-Up means a new month is here.  I know I'm excited purely for the fact that this new month is nothing but SPRING!!!!  At least it's supposed to be.  So if this is the first time you've been here (welcome!) you are in luck because you'll see all my March posts gathered up together like a sweet Spring Bouquet.  Plus a few fun tidbits that I don't 'technically' blog about, but do share with you today  =)

I started this month out with a big 'ol "Neener-nanner I'm on a free Caribbean cruise!"  Yes, I said free and it was a little harsh, I know.  But I'm making it up to you by sharing all my budget-friendly secrets in a new SuperMom exclusive series:

As awesome as my trip was this month it was not filled just with fun and games.  I shared an award-winning Science Fair Project and a little life lesson we had to teach our middle school-er called Retribution.

Well the Retribution post was a bit funny, but don't tell him that!  Moving on.
So a little white chicken comes walking down my road...
Sounds like the start to a joke but it was real!  It must of got out somewhere but it was more like the heavens parted and a beam of light shown down on this little chick because NOW my hubbie is finally helping me with a chicken coop.  And not just your run-of-the-mill coop but a re-purposed Playskool Playhouse Chicken Coop like this one:
See the plans here at Backyard Chickens
Between all that craziness I did manage to squeeze in a couple projects.  A multi-purpose Organizer made from scrap wood and drawer knobs, plus a tutorial turning plastic Easter Eggs into a whimsical Mossy Egg Spring Wreath.

I chose a couple sponsor posts to bring you for my SuperMom Recommendations this month.  I shared a story about one of my first Scuba Diving Trips, plus a chance for you to win $250 (I hope you won!).  And if you have any teen girls you might enjoy my picks for beautifully Modest Prom Dresses.

You know what else was awesome about this month?  It was full of birthdays!
Three to be exact.  My Marky turned the big 1-0.
Birthday Breakfast:  sprinkle-covered bear claws warmed up with 10 candles
The other two were mine...my birthday & one year Blogiversary!
pretty much  =)
Last but not least I want to take a moment and thank Aida Alaba Torres,
a beautiful SuperMom-in-Training who sent me the most sweet message
the other day that literally brought tears to my eyes.
You made my day, my week, my month Aida!!  One of my personal goals when starting this blog was to encourage women to embrace motherhood and know that being "just a mom" is the most important job in the world.  You let me know that my time spent on this blog is worthwhile.  Thank you!

  1. That chicken coop!! Love it! I can't wait to see yours. We found a chicken like that once on the side of the road. I was still in college so I couldn't keep it. We gave it to a petting farm. It wound up being a rooster, we'd named him pumpkin, and he became the farmer's best friend. Riding around in the farmer's truck all around the farm like a dog! LOL

  2. Looks like you've had a fun and busy month! I love seeing some modest prom dress examples--my daughter is only 4 and I'm already worried about what the dresses will look like once she's in high school!
