day2day Tips ~ My Recipe Magic ~ Taco Tuesday

If you love looking up new recipes to try out like I do then you may have noticed a new button popping up.  It's much like the 'Pin It' button but is shown alongside pictures of recipes.  And the site is a bit similar to Pinterest except it's ALL RECIPES!  It's like a heaven for foodies!  Just click on the cute little chef hat magic button and it will link you right to that recipe!

I first discovered the 'Magic' button while visiting the Six Sisters Stuff blog (which I love by the way).  They have like thousands of recipes to search through and the My Recipe Magic is actually their sister-site.  They started it as a way for anyone, not just bloggers, to be able to quickly upload a recipe and mak a little "dough" every time it's viewed.  Pretty cool, huh?  Like I said, I love them  =)

 But before I decided to upload my own recipe I enjoyed this site for a few awesome reasons:
  • A nutrition label is shown for every recipe
  • Points Values are calculated as well
  • You can create an entire menu and print a shopping list for all the ingredients needed
  • Extensive search with preferences from nutrition  to cooking method, even holiday meals
  • Create your very own cookbook!
There are also some new features being added very soon that I'm excited about:
  • Change the number of servings to fit your family
  • Search for recipes based on the ingredients you have on hand
  • Substitute ingredients to your tastes
  • Smart phone Apps
I hope you get a chance to check out My Recipe Magic soon ~ but be warned... It can be as addicting as Pinterest  =)
