This amazing piece was at the very first booth so I had to show it to you first! Some kind of old printing block letters I'm guessing? They were beautiful just sitting in their wooden case. Talk about some awesome metal stamping you could do with these bad boys!
I came across all kinds of other fun collections.
These interesting pins made me want to make another Vintage Rolling Pin Hook Rack!
I love how the collection of marbles are stored in the old milk bottles! The bottom of these beautiful glass lanterns would be a neat place to display small summertime collections like seashells or sea glass.
A bunch of these clip-on earrings would look great in the lanterns too! How fun!Of course there were fantastic collections of lines and lace.
I saw all kinds of frames upcycled into chalk boards.
These frames would be easy to turn into gorgeous chalk boards. Learn how to make your own Chalk Paint in any color to match your decor here.
LOVED all the awesomely rusted stuff.
These old bed springs would make for a whimsical bottom for a Glass Insulator Candle Holder. I also came across all kinds of interesting home decor pieces.
I would take a spray paint can to each one of these pieces!
Can you believe this box was just laying on the ground with empty cardboard boxes!! I about died. But I do have a bit of an obsession with old wooded boxes.
I also am drawn to glass bottles and Mason Jars like a bee to honey. My hubbie had to keep reminding me of all the Mason Jars I have. Dang I should of left him at home. Kidding! =)
Here are a few ways to upcycle old pieces into clever tables and planters.
What was your favorite inspiration? =)
OH my heavens, I'm dying here, good thing I don't know where you live or I'd be there for your next antique show. We do not have anything like that where we live. I miss them so much from living in MT and KY. We've been for 9 yrs. now, not one antique show here, Grand Junction, CO. Really bums me out. Good thing maybe tho or I'm liable to spend the mtg. money.
ReplyDeleteI saw so many things I'd so love to have. Awe darn, antique show envy.
Happy summer

I'm a sucker for quilts and handkerchiefs! But I love those upcycled items, too. I have to remind myself I need to do a lot of clearing out before I can bring anything else in :(
ReplyDeleteThank you for the antique inspiration! If it was not dark out, I would be outside digging through my stash.
