{Egg-Less} Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles ~ BONUS 12 SuperMom Days of Christmas

{Egg-Less} Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles ~ BONUS 12 SuperMom Days of Christmas
I act on behalf of the Christmas Sugar Plum Fairies everywhere and bring you a magical dessert.  Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles with NO eggs.  Egg-less!  No back-of-the-mind thoughts of killing over while eating raw cookie dough by the spoonful.  It's easy.  It's festive.  And it's absolutely delicious.

I pinned this recipe to my Die 4 Desserts Pinterest Board overjoyed knowing I had no chance of dieing while eating raw eggs disguised under chocolate chips.
I modified the recipe just a bit after trying it out.

If you've ever made cookie dough before it's pretty much the same process.

Flour, sugar, butter, vanilla, milk and a touch of salt and baking soda.  Now we aren't baking cookies but we still add the baking soda for the taste of cookie dough.  You might notice the chocolate candy coating 'Almond Bark.'  This was an ingredient for the original recipe and I substituted it for dark chocolate chips (or milk chocolate!)

Simple!  Just beat all the ingredients together until creamy then add the chocolate chips.

The hardest part of the recipe is to take this bowl of deliciousness and chill it in the fridge for easy handling later.  IF any of your cookie dough makes it out of the fridge roll it into bit size balls and put onto a pan.

The second hardest part is to now take your pan of deliciousness and pop it into the freezer for easy chocolating later.  Now I think I love frozen cookie dough the best so IF your cookie dough makes it out of the freezer it's time to dress it in chocolate.

I dipped about half of my truffles into the melted candy coating and sprinkled festive dots on top before it hardened.  The candy coating looks more truffle-y however I think it actually took away from the taste of the cookie dough.  Not a fan.  So instead I melted dark-chocolate chips in the microwave for a quick few seconds then brushed it on top with a pastry brush.

Perfection!

I alternated between brushing a few doughy truffles with the chocolate then sprinkling on the candy dots like little ornaments.
